Automated fabrication planning for parapet cover systems

Manual Planning Automated

Before: measure, draw, list parts, write bending programs by hand. Every geometry change rippled through all of it. Now: enter the outline, pick the type, get the parts and the fabrication files.

Four Cover Types

The application supports four types: cornice and parapet cover, cornice cover, thick-sheet parapet cover (≥1 mm), and thin-sheet parapet cover (<1 mm). Each type has its own calculation logic and produces a different set of parts.

3D Preview and Calculation

Rhino.Compute runs the Grasshopper definition; the result renders in the browser. Components — parapet, cover sheet, adhesive sheet, slider — toggle individually to check assembly. Thickness, overhang, and other parameters update live.

Concept and development of the web application including geometry editor, Rhino.Compute integration, and export functions for four parapet cover types.
