An in-house parametric tool translates photographs directly into perforated sheet panels. Brightness controls hole diameter, density renders the image. Two different applications demonstrate the system's range.

Halftone System
Up close, the image dissolves into an abstract dot grid. Varying hole diameters control brightness and contrast - the same principle as classical halftone printing, transferred to laser-cut steel sheet.

Panorama in Steel
Inside a parking structure, large steel panels carry the Zurich panorama from Lindenhof. The shorter viewing distance required a finer grid than the exterior panels.
Scope
Parametric tool development, image processing, fabrication data generation, and production coordination.

Outcomes
Direct output of cut-ready fabrication files from photograph input - no manual intermediate format
