Botanical Motifs
An in-house tool turns photographs into perforated sheet panels. Pixel brightness sets the hole size; the pattern of holes forms the image. Two installations show what the system handles at opposite ends - large panels seen from across a city square, and finer-grained panels read at close range.
Halftone System
Up close, the image breaks up into an abstract grid of dots. The hole size controls brightness and contrast - the same idea as halftone printing in a newspaper, transferred to laser-cut steel sheet.

Panorama in Steel
Inside a parking structure, large steel panels show the Zurich panorama from Lindenhof. People stand closer to these panels than to the outdoor ones, so the grid had to be finer.
