Analysis Components

Display Sheet (DS)

Visualizes Sheet objects with color-coded face types and optional text annotations.

Inputs

  • Sheet (S) - The sheet to visualize
  • Color Mode (CM) - Coloring scheme (default: 0)
  • 0 = By Face Type (bend=blue, flange=gray, hem=cadetblue, hole=gold, thickness=red)
  • 1 = By Direction (up=green, down=red, non-bends=light gray)
  • 2 = By Bend Group (each group gets unique color)
  • Display Text Info (Txt) - Show face labels (default: false)
  • Text Size (TS) - Label text size (default: 20)
  • Side (S) - Filter by sheet side (default: All)
  • -1 = All sides
  • 0 = First side (top)
  • 1 = Second side (bottom)
  • Face Types (FT) - Filter which face types to display

Outputs

  • Sheet Faces (SF) - Filtered faces as Breps in tree structure

Color Modes Explained

  • By Face Type - See different features at a glance (flanges gray, bends blue, etc.)
  • By Direction - Identify which way bends fold (critical for manufacturing setup)
  • By Bend Group - Visualize groups of parallel bends that move together

Tips

  • Use Value List for Face Types to easily toggle feature visibility
  • Text display helpful for identifying specific faces during troubleshooting
  • Color Mode 2 (Bend Group) useful for understanding unrolling sequence

Sheet Info (SI)

Analyzes a Sheet and extracts comprehensive statistics and bend information.

Inputs

  • Sheet (S) - The sheet to analyze

Outputs

  • Flanges (F) - Count of flange faces
  • Bends (B) - Count of bend features
  • Hems (H) - Count of hem features
  • I-Holes (Ho) - Count of isolated holes
  • NI-Holes (NIH) - Count of non-isolated holes
  • C-Holes (CSH) - Count of countersink holes
  • Thickness (T) - Detected material thickness
  • Bend ID (ID) - List of bend identifiers (B-1, B-2, HB-1, etc.)
  • Bend Angle (BA) - List of bend angles (radians)
  • Bend Direction (BD) - List of bend directions (Up/Down)
  • Bend Radius (BR) - List of bend radius values

  • Quick overview of sheet composition before processing
  • Bend information essential for CNC/manufacturing specifications
  • All outputs are lists - use with downstream data processing

Explode Sheet

Separates a Sheet into individual geometric components by face type.

Inputs

  • Sheet (S) - The sheet to decompose

Outputs

  • Flanges (F) - All flange faces as Breps
  • Bends (B) - All bend faces as Breps
  • Hems (H) - All hem faces as Breps
  • I-Holes (IH) - Isolated hole faces
  • NI-Holes (NIH) - Non-isolated hole faces
  • C-Holes (CSH) - Countersink hole faces
  • Thickness Faces (TF) - Thickness/internal faces

Tips

  • Essential for selective processing of different feature types
  • Empty outputs mean no features of that type exist
  • Use with Display Sheet to visualize decomposition
  • Good for custom analysis or export workflows
